OUR TEAM

TRAVIS “FLUX” STILLWELL

Innovator | Virtual Reality Pilot Training Developer

For the past six years, Mr. Stillwell, also known as "FLUX," has led the Innovation Design Team under the 12th Operations Group. Over this period, he has flown in a range of aircraft, such as the T-38C Talon, T-1A Jayhawk, T-6A Texan II, and TG-16A Glider. Operating from various bases within the Air Education & Training Command (AETC), his primary mission was to capture VR/360 video footage to develop training materials.

Under his leadership, the 12th Operations Group Innovation Design Team has been instrumental in developing AETC's VR flight simulation prototypes. These cutting-edge simulations were later adopted and refined by VERTEX, a military contracting company, and have since been implemented across all AETC bases.

In addition to creating VR simulation prototypes for the USAF, Flux has produced numerous 360-degree training videos for various programs, including Pilot Instructor Training (PIT), Undergraduate Pilot Training (UPT), Introduction to Fighter Fundamentals (IFF), and Fighter Bomber Fundamentals (FBF). As the T-7A Redhawk begins to replace the T-38C Talon fleet, FBF will replace IFF in the future.

Flux's contributions and expertise in the USAF pilot training programs are widely recognized across the greater USAF. His innovative work has saved millions of dollars annually in maintenance costs, fuel expenses, and flight hours, aligning perfectly with the USAF's goals of cost-saving and enhancing pilot training.

In addition to his work with military aircraft, Flux has leveraged his expertise to produce a range of general aviation training videos. He has flown various aircraft, including the Lancair, Glasair, Piper Cherokee, Cessna 152, 172, 182, and the Grob G 103C "TWIN III ACRO" glider. Flux's contributions also extend to corporate training content, broadening his impact beyond the aviation sector.

JULIO COLLAZOS

Retired USAF Pilot | Virtual Reality Sim Instructor & Developer

With a background as a retired USAF KC-135 pilot, Mr. Collazos transitioned to becoming a T-1A Jayhawk Instructor Pilot (IP) in the later years of his career. In the twilight of his 20-year tenure, Mr. Collazos collaborated closely with Flux in the development of prototypes for the USAF's Virtual Simulators. Their partnership, forged over several years of working together, has yielded a seamless workflow. Together, they've dedicated countless hours to troubleshooting and pioneering innovative solutions, shaping the landscape of the USAF's virtual reality sims.

Following his retirement, Collazos transitioned into a role as a T-6A TEXAN II simulator instructor for the USAF as a civilian. After three years in this position, he transitioned to work for military contractor SAIC. During his time at SAIC, Collazos traveled extensively across the USAF's Air Education & Training Command (AETC) bases. His primary responsibilities included the construction and testing of the USAF's new flight simulators.

Will Ray Wideman

Retired USAF Aircraft Maintainer Adventurer | VR Training Developer

Throughout Will’s career, he gained extensive experience working on a diverse range of aircraft in various environments. He began with four years as a crew chief on F-15C, D, and E models at Spangdahlem AFB in Germany and Seymour Johnson AFB in North Carolina, where he developed specialized expertise in engines, hydraulics, and air-frames.

Will then transitioned to the KC-135 refueling aircraft at Seymour Johnson, further refining his technical skills over two years. He later moved to Travis AFB, where he worked on the larger and more complex KC-10s.

After completing four years of active duty, Will joined the reserves, serving full-time for two years and part-time for an additional two, during which he completed deployments to Turkey and the UAE.

Leveraging his aviation background, Will entered the VR/360 industry, developing immersive training experiences. Upon transitioning to civilian life, he spent a decade in extreme sports, offering personalized adventure tours and capturing outdoor activities like cave exploration, diving and kayaking with drones and 360-degree cameras, enabling his clients to relive and share their experiences through virtual reality.
